Independence Day, also known as the Fourth of July, commemorates the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776. On July Fourth, Americans typically recognize this holiday with fireworks, parades, and celebrations with family and friends.
When putting together a homeschool unit study, it’s essential to focus on the history of this day, so your students understand what they’re celebrating.
