The human body...it's quite an interesting and extensive topic.
Children are continually asking about the human body. What child doesn't want to learn how and why their arms bend the way they do, or why they sweat? What child hasn't asked, "How do fingernails grow?" or "Where does hair come from?"
A human body unit study is the perfect way to help them find the answers. Since children are already interested in the human body, they will be enthusiastic about learning more.
Teach your children about the body's systems, such as the skeletal system and the digestive system, and how these help the body function.
Your little learners will also learn about cells, bones, the five senses, and tissues in the human body. Below you will find engaging activities and books. If your child already loves learning about their bodies--why not harness that interest by letting them explore? Who knows? Perhaps it will help them decide to be a doctor or nurse when they grow up!
